Softouch Concepts was established in June 2002. It is a small, privately owned business created to provide solution-based products for the Pet Industry.

Softouch Concepts designed, developed and manufactures the SENSE-ation™ harness. Currently the harness is sold nation-wide and it will be marketed overseas in the future. The current focused market is Humane Societies, SPCAs, Shelters and Trainers.

The company believes in development and continuous improvement for customer satisfaction. The product line will consist of differentiated models that will address the needs of owners and trainers alike. Accessories and support products will also be available to help provide a complete training system and solution for everyday use.

About the Inventor, Designer and Co-Owner

After over 25 years of working with horses and dogs and making several prototypes, Linda Lady created the patent pending SENSE-ation™ harness and training method. She had discovered similarities between horses and dogs, and found her dog training to be more effective when she applied horse training concepts.

Linda decided to name the harness SENSE-ation™, based on the positive effect it has on a dog’s sense of touch. She also chose to provide members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers the first opportunity to use the harness. Linda has been a member of APDT since 1994 and is devoted to the organization’s goal of increasing public awareness of dog friendly training techniques.

Her background with dogs includes dog training in early development, obedience and rehabilitation. She has experience working in a kennel and a veterinary office. She has raised puppies and conducted puppy classes as a contract trainer with a well known assistance dog organization. Linda has also been involved with another well known Pet Assisted Therapy Service with one of her two Golden Retrievers.

Her background with horses includes working as a trainer / handler at a commercial thoroughbred race horse farm and she has owned and trained horses privately.

Linda has a Masters in Business and a Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation Administration. She has conducted an academic study of training dogs for therapeutic recreation and has 10 years of experience as an Independent Management Consultant.

In addition to her responsibilities as Vice President -Development and Training at Softouch Concepts, she maintains ownership of her company—Softouch Training.
