About Softouch Concepts, Inc.

Our Mission
To enhance companionship and dog-friendly training with new concepts and revolutionary products. To create true solutions for harmony between dogs and their owners by raising awareness of the link between sense of touch and dog behavior.
Softouch Concepts, Inc. was established in June 2002. We are Inventors, Designers and Manufacturers providing solution-based products for the Pet Industry. With our passion for dogs, we strive to promote dog-friendly, stress-free training. We believe it plays a vital role in greater and long term companionship.
Our first Front-Connection™ harness model was called the SENSE-ation® to raise awareness of the link between sense of touch and dog behavior. It is the favorite for short hair dogs with Softouch™ webbing for extra comfort. In 2004 we developed our SENSE-ible® harness to offer the same patented design for a lower cost.
The harnesses are sold world-wide to Trainers, Humane Societies, SPCAs, Shelters, Pet Stores, Veterinarians, and Dog Owners. The product line consists of models made in different materials to address the needs of owners and trainers alike. Our leashes are the first support products to provide a complete training system and solution for everyday use.We believe in development and continuous improvement for customer satisfaction. Unlike other companies, we offer extensive product knowledge with training background.
About the Inventor, Designer and Co-Owner
Linda Lady created the patented Front-Connection™ harness (also known as Front-Clip) and methods. After working with horses and dogs for over 25 years, she discovered similarities and found her dog training to be more effective when she applied horse training concepts.
Linda named the first harness model SENSE-ation®. She focused on the positive effect it has on a dog's sense of touch and wanted to raise awareness of the link between sense of touch and dog behavior. She also chose to provide members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers the first opportunity to use the harness. Linda has been a member of APDT since 1994 (member #107) and is devoted to the organization's goal of increasing public awareness of dog friendly, stress-free training techniques.
